Appeals & Complaints
Appeals against editorial decisions
Authors who believe an editorial decision was made in error may appeal by writing to contact@vallensis.org within 30 days of the decision. Appeals must state clearly the grounds (scientific error in review, procedural irregularity, undisclosed reviewer conflict of interest) and must not introduce new data or arguments absent from the original submission.
Appeals are reviewed by an editor not involved in the original decision, and the outcome is final. Appeals based solely on disagreement with reviewers' scientific judgement, without evidence of error, will not be upheld.
Complaints
Complaints about editorial conduct, publishing ethics, or journal processes should be directed to contact@vallensis.org. We undertake to acknowledge complaints within 5 business days, investigate credible complaints thoroughly and impartially, respond with a substantive outcome within 30 days, and escalate unresolved complaints to COPE where appropriate.
